Mississippi Pot Roast


Ingredients

  • 1 4-5 lb Beef Chuck Roast
  • 1 pkg dry Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix
  • 1 pkg Au Jus mix
  • 1 stick of butter, cut into 8 pieces
  • 8 -10 pepperoncini peppers 


Instructions

  • Brown pot roast on all sides in a frying pan in 1 tablespoon oil and place the roast in the crock pot. Sprinkle with Hidden Valley ranch dressing and the Au Jus mix 
  • Add the butter and the pepperoncini peppers. Cook on low for 8-10 hours. DO NOT ADD WATER!!

    Serve over rice or mashed potatoes. 

    Or this roast makes an amazing sandwich! Serve it on a roll with the Au Jus dipping sauce and coleslaw on the side. Yum!
